Alex Dixon and Dr. Kim were awarded to November's Mentorship of The Month by the Office of EKU Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors, October 30, 2019.

November's Mentorship of the Month goes to Alex Dixon and Dr. Dae Wook Kim in computer science. The mentorship began when Alex had Dr. Kim as a faculty mentor and was recruited to work on projects in Dr. Kim's MLDL Lab.

The purpose of their study was to develop a machine learning system to predict whether or not a student applicant will enroll at EKU. Alex presented this work at the 2019 Posters at the Capitol event, with the support of his mentor!
