2021 MLDL Lab Talk Series: Tao He, Databricks (September 29, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

The MLDL Lab is happy to announce that we will invite Tao He, Senior Software Engineer at Databricks DevTools Team for a guest speaker on September 29th at 7:00 pm. He has over 8 years of industry experience in Distributed systems, Mobile and PyTorch Core framework and 2 years of experience on payment systems. Prior to his employment with Databricks, he worked on push notifications as well as AI infrastructure at Facebook and funny digital ink tools for Office Apps while at Microsoft. He holds a MS degree in Computer Science from New York University and BS degree at the Peking University, China.

Tao will present the topic, "Inference Model - Productionisation" which focuses on deploying a pre-trained model to a Kubernetes fleet to demonstrate the idea for being deployed to a "mock cluster" built on top of miniKube as an inference tier serving live traffic, then troubleshoot some common issues that may surface when running the service.
