2021 MLDL Lab Talk Series: Ben Jacoby, Humana (April 28, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
As for the MLDL Lab talk series, we are excited to invite Mr. Ben Jacoby, who holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from Clemson University and an M.S. in Applied Computing from EKU, currently works as a Cloud Automation Engineer for Humana Inc., in Louisville, KY (https://www.humana.com/). Though his current position focuses mostly on infrastructure automation, he has had very different responsibilities at previous careers stops. He handled API integrations and supported a data warehousing initiative for R.J. Corman Railroad Group, led a customer-facing team of front-end web developers for eLink Design, and even helped tutor middle and high school students through their first steps into coding with Awesome Inc.
Mr. Jacoby’s talk, titled “The Biggest Project of My Life”, combines debugging horror stories, tales of coding triumph, and a couple of life lessons learned along the way as he offers his thoughts on how to keep building on your career in the world of computer science.
